I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions. I’m happy to accommodate what is best for you.

For teletherapy, I use video conferencing software that is secure and HIPAA-compliant. I will simply send you a link prior to your scheduled appointment.

frequently asked questions

What are your session fees?

Sessions are 50 minutes and the fee is $100 for individuals, $130 for couples.

Sliding Scale: I reserve a number of sliding scale spots for those who make a low income or who are experiencing financial hardship. Please contact me to discuss an adjusted rate if you cannot pay the full fee.

Sessions are held either in person or virtually using a telehealth platform.

Do you take insurance?

I do not currently accept insurance. Insurance companies can dictate much of how therapy is done, including how often you can come, for how long, and which therapeutic techniques that can be used in treatment. They also require a mental health diagnosis to be entered into your records, which some clients can find stigmatizing or disempowering. By accepting private pay, we can maintain a greater level of privacy, collaboration, and creativity in our work together.

As an out-of-network provider, I am able to provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement, according to your insurance plan. I encourage you to call your insurance company to find out if your plan covers out-of-network providers, and if they cover supervised therapists in the process of earning full licensure. Please carefully check the details of your coverage.

How will I pay?

I accept all major credit cards and Health Savings/Flexible Spending Cards, cash and check. A valid credit card is securely kept on file and charged at the beginning of your appointment unless another payment option has been arranged.

What can I expect during our first session?

Prior to your first session, I will send you some paperwork to fill out and either upload to your secure client portal online or bring with you to your appointment. We will discuss my policies, confidentiality, and any questions you might have. The first appointment is about getting to know each other, and is an opportunity for you to share what is bringing you to therapy and what your hopes and goals are. You get to decide whether you feel comfortable and safe with me and experience a good connection - these are the vital starting points of a healing relationship. At the beginning, sessions are weekly to help me get to know you, and to give us an opportunity to develop trust and really dig into what you are working through. Consistency and committment to the therapeutic process can lead to real growth and transformation.
